Clee Cottage, built in the 1940s from river stones, is one of Wanaka’s oldest and most picturesque private homes and nestles amidst spectacular mountain scenery.
Set in more than half an acre (2295sq m) of lovingly tended grounds, and directly over the road from the Lake, it has been stylishly renovated to make it warm and comfortable without detracting from its historic charm.
Particular care has gone into choosing tasteful, quality furnishings. Offering a choice of sitting rooms, each with a fireplace and one with a library of old books, it is a home that lends itself to entertaining or just a cosy, peaceful time through all seasons.
Birds abound in the magnificent tree specimens that surround the cottage.
Twenty minutes by foot from the town centre, it is a haven awaiting after a day in the mountains, on the lake, or by the rivers.
